If you are an Alesa customer, your personal information for billing is needed for us to comply with legal obligations for issuing and recording tax documents.

Your personal information is needed to place and fill orders, register you in our customer database, record orders and resolve any possible complaints.

Marketing – sending newsletters

Your personal information to be processed: e-mail addresses, full name, gender, data you click in the e-mail, how often you open newsletters we send you, forwarding of promotional information. 
If you are an Alesa customer, there is a legitimate interest because your desire for news from us is reasonably expected. The information will be retained for a period of five years from your most recent order.

If you are not an Alesa customer, the newsletter comes to you because you agreed to receive it, and the information will be retained for five years from when you granted consent.

If Alesa learns about a third party doing something remarkable or interesting, we will be glad to share it with you. In either case, you can use the unsubscribe link to withdraw your consent anytime you receive our newsletter.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Anytime you view our website, Alesa will record your IP address, how long you visited the site and from which website you came. Cookies are used to measure website traffic and customise the website’s display. We believe them to be in the administrator’s legitimate interest and that, through them, Alesa can provide you with better service.

In the future, Alesa may decide to use other applications or processors to facilitate and improve processing. In such a case, we promise to place at least the same assurance and quality requirements in selecting the data processor as if we were processing the data for ourselves.

Your rights regarding protection of your personal data

You have the following rights regarding protection of your personal data. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please e-mail us at the address above.

You have the right to know how Alesa and its website process your personal information.

This right of access lets you invite us anytime to show within 30 days what personal information Alesa processes and why it processes them.

If you have made changes in your personal information, you have the right to request Alesa to add to or change the data it has to reflect it.

You may exercise the right to limited processing if you believe that Alesa is processing inaccurate data, processing them unlawfully but you do not wish all the data to be deleted or if you object to the processing of your personal information.

You can limit the scope of your personal information or the purpose of processing it (e.g. you limit the purpose of processing, when you unsubscribe from the newsletter, to sending you business information).

Right to erasure (to be forgotten)

You have the right to have your personal information erased and for you to be forgotten. Although Alesa does not want to forget you, if you wish it, you have the right for us to forget you. In this case, your personal information will be deleted both from Alesa’s system and the systems of our downstream processors. 30 days will be needed to ensure this right.

There are some cases where Alesa is bound by law to keep records of issued tax documents (e.g. orders, invoices and contracts) for the legally prescribed period.  In such a case, all personal information will be deleted unless the law requires us to retain it. You will be notified in an e-mail of when the personal information is deleted.

Complaints addressed to the Office for Personal Data Protection

If you feel that your data has been handled unlawfully by us, you have the right to contact the Office for Personal Data Protection with your complaint. Alesa would appreciate very much if you could first provide us with information about your suspicions so that they could be addressed and we take corrective action.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter and business information

Alesa sends you inspirational e-mails and also articles, products and services because you are an Alesa customer and based on your legitimate interest.

If you are not an Alesa customer, we are sending you the newsletter because you have agreed to receive it. 

In either case, you can stop subscribing to our e-mails by clicking on “Unsubscribe” in any e-mail Alesa sends.

Confidentiality

Please be assured that all Alesa employees and associates processing your data are required to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information and of any security measures taken. This information remains confidential even after the termination of your contractual relationship with Alesa. Your personal data will not be disclosed to any other third parties without your consent.

These principles relating to personal data processing are effective from 25 May 2018.
